Education

Veteran access to education is an essential part of the reintegration process—it increases self-worth, productivity, and the likelihood of finding meaningful and rewarding work.

The New GI Bill is helping more and more veterans pursue a college degree, but we know the path to veteran education doesn’t end with the legislation.

While the bill is sending veterans to college, many of our schools aren't ready. That's why higher education associations, college and university presidents, campus veteran organizations, and individual student veterans have joined the Campaign for Healthy Homecoming. Together, we’re reaching out to educational institutions around the country, providing them with the tools and guidance needed to support veterans on campus.

Get involved! Stay on track with the roadmap project
