Affordable Housing

The Department of Veterans Affairs estimates that roughly 131,000 veterans are homeless on any given night, making up one-third of the homeless population in the United States.

We have a moral obligation to ensure veterans have access to affordable housing, especially in difficult economic times.

The Campaign for Healthy Homecoming works with a broad coalition of stakeholders—national, regional, and local—to both decrease the rate of veteran homelessness and address the root causes of this problem: lack of affordable housing, living wages, and access to healthcare.

Get involved! Stay on track with the roadmap project

“…Heroes have a home—it’s the country they served, the United States of America. And until we reach a day when not a single veteran sleeps on our nation’s streets, our work remains unfinished.” —President Barack Obama
