Red Cross sees spike in needs of military families

Soldiers and their families are seeking more help from the American Red Cross to make emergency communications. From July 1 to Dec. 10, the Central Minnesota chapter of the Red Cross has had 210 calls for assistance in emergency communications, chapter Executive Director Beth Broman said. The chapter typically sees about 350 calls a year.
